Two, "A" and "B". The Original ST had no drives and used an external drive
with a through socket. The Drive Select line is rotated to the next pin as
the signals flow through the drive. This allows two drives to be cascaded..

I have a feeling there was a hack some where for a third drive. Not sure if
it used the printer port to get the extra drive select or decoded used a 2-4
line decoder to expand the existing ones...

Hey Dave. Yep, I think there was at one time. Somewhere in one of the UK
magazines maybe, or some place like that.
