Well, was making the rounds tonight and I caught up on 200 messages her on the
newsgroup. First off, good to see this place still plugging along. On another
note, man... so many messages comparing the Atari to the Apple 2. Wow... who
cares!?
Go with your bliss, I think that is what was told me early on in getting into
the retro computing stuff.
For me the bliss is the Atari 800. I gave away all my ST stuff tonight, just
decided after a while of fun tinkering with that ... if I had to mess with a
retro machine, mught as well go as far back as I can and still have grpahics
and sound. :D
So who here has tried out the Prison Board BBS? A lot of people are saying
how they enjoy getting on with a real Atari 300/1200 baud modem. I am so happy
to hear that. The sysop has worked hard to make that BBS retro friendly and to
keep the Atari BBS list up to date. And again he added a nice feature... when
you log in, you can jump from start to menu by typing on the login line:
"*(first name) (Last name) (password)"
And when you are in 300 baud, every little bit helps. Later all!!

True. But some have said they wanted to get on a BBS with their Atari modems,
so here's your chance. Otherwise, just telnet to rdfig.net and that will get
you there for free. :)
