Hi, to the author of SAP, Columns, etc (Kenrick Mock right? Sorry if wrong
spelling)...

I love the SAP, please count me as another user interested in creating
demos using SAP. But... please, I try it, current SAP is not very easy to use,
and hard on editing. Please bring out at least one more version (0.7?)...

The following is a question for a friend (Peter Watson) who has a "mass
format" program he wrote some years back. It will automatically format a bunch
of disks. The program has worked okay for some years, however it has had some
problems since he bought the new disk controller card and a superdrive.

If he runs the program with a box of disks that are pre-formatted under
MS-DOS then he gets a IO error and the disk is ejected. If a disk read is done
first then the format works however. A similar problem is encountered with the
old version of ByteWorks INIT program in ORCA. The problem is encountered
whether a Smartport or GS/OS format call is used.

An obvious solution would be to do a read call first, but is there a
better or _official_ way around this?
