IIGS 4mb RAM Card?

My Ram4GS card does not work for some reason. I don't know why. It has
been in an anti-static bag for a couple of years, when I put it in my
ROM 1 and turned it on, the control panel says I still have 1mb RAM. I
popped in a 1mb stock Apple card and it worked, so I do not think
there is anything wrong with my computer.I did unseat and reseat the
SIMMs on the board, still no dice.
I was not able to connect to the Garber Street web site, so it looks
like I am in the market for another 4mb card. All leads/ideas
appreciated.

Which way did you insert it into the GS? Which slot did you plug it

I realized I put this into the wrong newsgroup, apolgies to all.
I put it in the RAM slot, with the front of the card facing the right
way (the arrow on the card says where the "front" is).

Looks like you have the very earliest card made. If you want, you can send
it to me at the address
on the web site listed below, and I will get it working for you at no cost.
