I note that the USPS's weight limit on international first class
(letters) is 3.5oz (which is the US way of saying 100g ;-), so that
option would only work for very light cards with light stiffening.

I 100% agree with you, this is the problem. Minimum weight has
increased while total dimensions of a package has decreased.
A way to make prices higher, increase margins, etc. If only letter
could offer security and item protection that would be perfect.

*There* is the problem--1kg is a very heavy minimum package.
The vast majority of packages I send out weigh less than
half a kilogram.

Good luck with your action..
Personally I don't know anyone desperate enough to pay $40 dollars
Canadian to ship a 3 x 6 package for that amount.. The last laptop I
got from China didn't even cost that amount to ship.

That's correct I should have written IIgs instead of IIc or for any
slot-based Apple II but please open your eyes: who do you think
believes that stuff works in a IIc at the end of 2009 among the 99
Apple II users around the world? Do you really believe I cheated on
