Apple 5MB Profile Hard Drive, Vintage - $150 (Fishers)

Hello, I am a Apple/Macintosh collector and enthusiast and have need to thin out my collection..

I have three vintage 5MB Apple Profile drives (model A9M0005) for sale. 5MB hard drives were considered very large for a personal computer back in 1983. The Apple Profile drives were used with the Apple Lisa, and Apple II + III computers (with appropriate I/O card). All three drives come with power cords, however only two come with the original Apple Profile parallel cable. I have a third non-Apple cable somewhere in the house, but as of yet have not been able to find it. I decided to sell these three Apple Profile drives separate from my my Apple Lisa 2, as there are many folks that need the separate Profile drives, rather than the more expensive Lisa 2. Search on CL for "Apple Lisa 2" if you might be interested in buying an Apple Lisa 2.

All three Apple Profile drives have been fully tested and are functioning correctly. The external cases are in very good shape, no dents or ugly marks, but with typical yellowing (see pictures). The Apple Profile drives do an internal hardware test, when first powered on. The hardware test takes about two minutes, and if everything passes, the front LED light glows a solid color (see first picture for solid glowing LED). I further tested the Profile drives by installing a copy of both Lisa MacWorks Plus 1.0.18 and the Mac OS 6.0.2 System, and verified that all three drives then booted from a Lisa 2 computer. I then ran an old Apple Disk First Aid, Version 1.4.1. Apple Disk First Aid passed successfully on all three drives (see second to last picture of Apple Disk First Aid results for one of the drives).

$150 for EACH drive. Sorry, no discount for buying more than one. Cash only, no shipping, local pickup only. $150 per drive is the average total selling price of WORKING/TESTED drives on ebay. As I said before, the first two drives come with ORIGINAL Apple cables, so the cables go with the first buyer(s).

If you have any questions (other than if item is still for sale), like further contact information or times to come out to see item, please email me using the craigslist contact at the top. IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS POST, IT IS SAFE TO ASSUME THAT THIS ITEM IS STILL FOR SALE, so please don't ask that question. I am fairly good at removing posts after an item has sold. Thanks for looking.

I guess no one has noticed this was simply a reprint from a Craigs List ad.
