If anyone has a good way to test these disks without a CP/M card I'm
all ears. I know the CP/M Plus and CP/AM disks told me that there was
no CP/M card present in my machine, so I'm sure those work but have no
idea how to validate the others.

Cheers,
Jesse

Use ADTPro to make images of the disks. You can use cpmtools to check
the directory structure of the disks/extract contents and/or use an
emulator with Apple II z80 support (e.g. Virtual ][ for the Mac).

I was unaware that Virtual ][ has Z80 support (never had much use for
an emulator). I'll create images and give this a shot later this
evening, thank you for the tip!

I'm unable to make heads or tails of the disk images in Virtual ][.
For instance, the CP/M Plus and CP/AM disks both tell me when booting
on my IIgs that I do not have a CP/M card installed. But when creating
disk images and using those with Virtual ][ I get a bunch of scrolling
numbers. Tinkered with having the Z80 card attached and not but
receive the same results either way.

Did CP/M disks use copy protection? I've never used CP/M and know next
to nothing about it.

So after loading up Apple CP/M in Virtual ][ I can "dir" the disk
images and see different files. I don't seem to be able to run the COM
files as it just pauses when attempting, but this may suggest they are
in working order?

Hi!

I'm very happy that you posted about these items because I wasn't
notified by eBay that they are available. It seems that I need to
change my eBay search arguments.

It's probably not you. eBay changed something in their search algorithm about
a year ago that rendered all of mine next to useless. I get tons of hits on
completely unrelated items.

You're welcome. I've seen a lot of discussion surrounding CP/M on
comp.sys.apple2 so I figured there would be some interest in those
items. With the amount of listings for vintage Apple stuff its easy to
miss things, even when searching. I've missed out on some great
auctions that I didn't notice until someone posts a link post-auction
about it in comp.sys.apple2 or on message boards I frequent.

Cheers,
Jesse
