I need to unblock an amstrad emailer em2001uk, is this possible? I just want
to be able to use the phone to make calls that's all. At the moment it's
stuck on 'Hold down (email) button to restore service' and the phone was
designed so that nothing would work until it registered. I'm fully aware
that this device is now discontinued and so is the service that went with it
but I was hoping:
1) I could find a way that I could unlock it or
2) find someone who can unlock it.
at this link it mentions someone called David Katovics but I've been unable
to trace the guy.

thanks if anyone can help.

There was a posting about this within the last year. Suggest you try Google
Groups archives Mr/Mrs/Miss TG.

If you'd given a valid email address I might've been bothered to look it up
for you.

It says "He can be contacted via Computer Active magazine."

Have you tried that?

a search of google groups only brings up the link I gave earlier. If you
know such a posting could you post the link here? That way others could
benefit too.

I am pursuing "a cunning plan" and may be able to post good information on D
Katovics tomorrow.

Sorry, no.

Even in these days of Facebook and websites, my "I know a bloke who knows a
bloke" has failed to locate THIS bloke.
