CPC 464 cassette deck

Hi all,

Since my cassette deck died, I got a crazy idea:

Is it possible to use another sound source (MP3 player) and connect its
sound output directly to the play head of the CPC using mono cable? What
output voltages would I need?

Haven't tried this yet, but I think this could work as long as the play
head is ok.
