I'm thinking about buying a Nanao/Eizo 15 or 17 inch monitor.
I am looking for stats, prices, and information from people
who have used them on the A3000. How well do they work? Etc.

Could you describe any unique features these monitors have?

[p.s. I'm speaking of the 15/17 inch standard-tube monitors,
as the Trinitron models are far too expensive...]

I bought an Eizo 8050i (not sure 100% about the number) 16" with my A3000,
and sold the original 14". I love that monitor. It works very well, but
cannot goes to 15kHz. As the A3000 has a desinterlacer, it's not a problem,
but I also have an IV24 board, and if you want to record what is on the
screen on a VTR, you have to set the frequency to 15kHz, and you only see
what is on the TV, and the monitor screens goes black.
Otherwise, a good feature of this monitor is that he has 2 inputs. Once I
was rendering a big animation, two friends gave me their A3000. I had my
own Amiga connected to the first input, a second Amiga to the second input
(3x BNC connectors) and the third one connected to the IV24 Video Interface
Unit (VIU). So I was able to switch between the 3 Amigas, without
deconnecting anything. It was very nice.
The only problem I see with this monitor is that it cannot display very
well Super-Hires. It doesn't flicker, but the pixel size seems to be too
small. Anyvody knows about that problem ? FYI, the monitor frequency range
goes from 30kHz to 64 kHz.

One little comment here... if you aren't going to buy THE TOP of the line
Eizo (Nanao) monitor, you might as well settle for something a lot cheaper.

One Amdek monitor I saw was very nice for the price (AM 817)..17", 1280x1024
NI, 76 KHz, $899.
