I have many images from old Atari / Amiga days. Talking about .TNY or .PCX
or .NEO etc.

I have two or three apps on my current PC and none of them will show them. I
know nothing about the way images are formed or generated so I thought I'd
ask if anyone knows either....

A) can these image types be converted with a modern converter app nowadays ?

or

B) Is there a modern app that will simply show them on a PC using MS
Windows (XP pro actually) environment ?

Thanks for any help/pointers with this.

I searched my package manager's database (using Debian GNU/Linux
Etch, maybe you can get a Knoppix DVD) and ended with these:

xloadimage -- shows PCX images

apsfilter -- converts IFF ILBM to ps

I'm disappointed that The Gimp doesn't seem to support these
classic formats, as it is available for WinXP, as well ...

There is IrfanView for WinXP, it can handle PCX, though not the other formats.

XnView claims to be able to view all 3 formats, while NConvert from
the same developer
should convert them
