Earl Weaver Baseball: Voice synthesizer
|
| |
Hello all,
I recently undertook the task of programming two of today's MLB teams into Earl Weaver Baseball, and set them to play against each other. My problem is, my Amiga apparently doesn't know how to pronounce the names of the players on the teams -- even names that it's pronounced before on different teams, like the first name "Jose" or the last name "Fernandez" -- that is to say, it just says, "Pitching -- at bat", "Earl's got -- throwing in the pen", "Earl's taken out -- is now in the game", etc.... more »

Campaign on Indiegogo for a Bloowych remake
|
| |
[link]
Hello,
I'm trying to raise funds for a remake of the classic co-op dungeon
crawler "Bloodwych", which was released in 1989/1990 for ATARI ST,
AMIGA, PC, Amstrad CPC, C64 and Spectrum.
I liked this game very much and since "Legend of Grimrock", a remake... more »

Trying to remember the name of an old game on my Amiga
|
| |
Well, trying to figure out a game i really enjoyed back in the early to mid 90's on the Amiga A500 (1mb).
What I can remember is that the game was in the same vein as the TSR games at the time, 3d navigation followed by 2.5d combat.
I remember the game had a very bronze/biomech look, was set in a cyberpunk... more »

Elite Dangerous project seeking funding
|
| |
Don't know if you are aware, but Mr Braben is trying to get Elite: Dangerous made via a Kickstarter funding scheme. He's got about 10 days left to raise 1.25 million pounds - well, he's almost at a million now, so hopefully it'll work out.
Elite was the game that made me buy a C64, even though it wasn't... more »

SWOS competition and Knockout!
|
| |
Little reminder of Lemon/EAB forums' game competitions. Final round of Super
League is on and everyone can still join to play SWOS for couple of weeks
still. Maybe people like our SWOS master Seppo would be interested to show
how the game should be played ;)
SWOS round can be found on both forums:... more »

Amiga Rediscovery - John Madden American Football - Electronic Arts
|
| |
I've never delved deeply into this game but from the first time I saw it, even knowing nothing about American Football, I was very impressed with the slick presentation, that seemed to have been coded by somebody who wanted to show off what the Amiga could do. It turns out, the lead programmer, Gary Roberts, was originally a demo coder responsible for... more »

Elite classic video games remake seeking backers
|
| |
Found an interesting story recently... Classic video game "Elite" is getting a 21st Century makeover. The owners are using KickStarter to fund the updated version. This could get interesting! :-)
Here's a link to the story:

John Madden Football crashes my Amiga!
|
| |
I have a serious problem trying to run "John Madden Football" on my Amiga. Just about every time I try to do so, at one point or another it will almost inevitably crash the Amiga with a "Guru Meditation" error or something to that effect. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or are my disks merely defective?... more »

Can't play MegaBall 3
|
| |
I recently acquired an Amiga 500 machine, and the MegaBall 3 game, but I can't play the game. When I try to launch the "MEGABALL" program, the Amiga says, "Error: Can't find LIBS:iff.library." I've run searches on all the major Web search engines, and I didn't get any results that were even remotely close to what I was looking for. Can anyone help?... more »
