I have a Clarity 16 and WaveTools but no Toccata yet? I think that the
Clarity 16 has the best interface but WaveTools doesn't
doesn't have the goofy hardware limitations of Clarity. I spent a few months
rewiring my serial/parallel ports and gave up. It's uses power from the Amiga
in a way that's NOT always compat.
The WaveTools just dropped in but unless you have a 68030 forget it. The
software is a dog! I ven told them so. Clarity has a BUG
in its save routine for stereo 8SVX's! Don't use it for that! It save them as
alternating bits like
AIFF and .WAV use. 8SVX appends the right channel to the left one! Funny thing
is it'll load them. It just won't save them?

That's why I got a WaveTools, It exists and doesn't cost more than the computer
like Sunrize's do!

The Toccata-16 certainly isn't vaporware, you can order and purchase one.
I don't have one yet, but I am strongly considering getting one and linking
it with the VLAB card I purchased from Macrosystems. If the VLAB is any
indication, I'd expect the Toccata to be a very good product.

Well, does anyone out there own one that they can comment on its capabilities,
quality, functionality????? I'm about to purchase Sunrize's AD516, but the
Toccata is still an option.

thanks.

Does anyone out there know if there is a library or
driver out there for the Taccota sound card for
the Amiga?
All of us in the Amiga community share one of the most incredible
and amazing computers and software for making music on the planet..
You guys that make Pro-Tracker 3.x and others on the scene
I would urge anyone with the power to program these awsome tools to
consider getting a Taccotta OR another card for the Amiga and making
a Pro-Tracker or MED that is directly compatible with 16-32+ channels
of Tracking power just like the standard trackers..
Even 8 channels of 16bit Audio would be an amazing accomplishment if
it wus playing direct of a Pro-Tracker window..
You guys make it posible the Amiga is half the story
IF we could reach a standard.. and or convert one of the cheap GUS cards
on PCs.. via interface or hardware adjustments which may not even be
that hard or it may but if we have the 16 bit 32+ voice digital power
combined with the Amiga Tracker Software the possibilties are left to the
imagination..
