The main problem people had recently was the bug in the real time clock.
This was fixed by the upgrade to RISC OS 5.16. If I understand you
correctly, that you bought one of the last Iyonixes just before they stopped
making them and never unpacked it, then the machine will be fairly up to
date, but won't have the real time clock fix. You will find it is usable,
but all the files will be datestamped a couple of years in the future, which
can cause problems later on.

Scroll down to find the Iyonix XScale section. I would put either 5.16 or
5.18 on it, using the flash prog rather than the softload. You may want to
update components on HardDisc4 as well, but I'm not so familiar with that
aspect as I have not recently done it myself.
