C:\Folder1 shared as Folder 1
D:\ shared as DriveD
E:\ shared as DriveE
I can connect to all 3 on the RiscPC at the same time
Then on the Iyonix I can only connect to the first two. To connect to
DriveE I have to dismount one connection on the RiscPC.It doesn't
matter which one.
To connect with the RiscPC again I have to dismount one of the Iyonix
connections
I get a SMB error 0x01, 0x0047 Error box.
Is there anyway around this problem to allow more connections?
OK since writing this I realise i'm only allowed 5 connections on the
PC.
Any way around this limitation please?
I assume you have XP Home edition - Windows home editions are only
allowed 5 clients. Business/Pro editions are allowed 10. To run more
you need a server version, and the appropriate number of client access
licenses (CALs) bought separately.
(Alternatively use Windows98, the last stable edition not to have this
limitation. OK, only joking really...)
Having said that, you only have 2 client computers, and usually
Windows bases the limit on the number of computers. It suggests
LanMan98 (which version are you using?) somehow acts as a different
client on each connection.
> Any way around this limitation please?
Not without either a different edition of Windows, or a change to the
coding of LanMan98.
