Hello All,

As many, but not all will know, the Southampton User Group will not be able
to meet at our usual place of the Itchen College in August as it is closed.
I'm more than willing to hold the meeting at my house (with tea!!!) if
people are interested, however I live in Portsmouth, not Southampton. Can
people just share their thoughts on this, and if it's popular, I'll confirm
it by a formal announcement on csa.announce.

Let me know what you think.

Kind regards,

Louie

I see you haven't had many takers here...

I asked John Chetwynd at work on Monday. He hasn't replied
because you didn't propose a specific date. Maybe that's
something you should consider.

Also, I e-mailed you the SAUG distribution lists, but I haven't
seen any priv-mail invitation. Did you receive the e-mail?
I also e-mailed you about those USB keys you like so much;
did you get that one?

What week is it that we normally meet? Somebody suggested to me in an email
that we make it a weekend; I don't mind, but I do think that meeting o the
regular day would be good 9if someone can remind me when that actually
is!!!)

It's usually the second Tuesday of the month nowadays, but pick
a date that suits you (and you might wish to name an alternative,
if you can cope with people voting!)

OK, well, in that case, how about Tuesday 12th August, or if people prefer
the weekend because of the change in location; Saturday 16th- this could
even be a day time (BBQ perhaps???) if people liked?

Let me know. I'll send emails out too to the mailing list.

Chris Newman has said that he would like to have the meeting Tuesday 12th
August (the same date as we would normally meet). I'll assume that this is
the preferred option, so;

SAUG meeting will now be on 12th August from 7pm at 104 Manners Road,
Southsea Portsmouth. All welcome. If anyone needs directions, you'd best
ask Paul as I'd get you lost!!! I'll post to announce too. Fratton train
station is literally 3 mins round the corner

Cheers

No worries! Should be quite nice really!

Can I ask that if people reply, that they remove the original message, as I
have been asked not to post our address out, which is fair play really- may
fault, just didn't think.

I hope that none of your respectable members are aware of the Naval
slang "Getting out at Fratton" :-)

With best wishes,

Peter.

naval!

Either way, please let me know if your interested; so far it's set to be
