(I run Geminus at startup but I've never had two pyjama screens.)

"The One Legged Shunter". Real ale at the Foxfield Railway! (ST11 9BG)
Established: No.
Theorised: No.
Here's a hypothesis, though. The extra time spent in reset
allows two things: (1) the power supply's voltage may change
slightly; (2) the chips heat up and thus slow down slightly,
changing operation in some way. Even the amounts of
overshoot and undershoot on signals may be reduced by
the slight slow-down.
In order to raise the hypothesis to a theory - or in order to
dismiss it as wrong - it would have to be tested.
Dave
The pyjamas is caused by incorrect initialisation of various chips at
power up, possibly due to power supply instabilities. Pressing the reset
button after power, restarts all the chips when the power supply is more
stable.

Or room temperature. Or so it seems here. Like my wife's pyjamas, the
phenomenon only puts in an appearance when it's cold.
Pressing reset invariably sorts it out.

Care to re-phrase those sentences and paragraphs, especially when
they're read together? 8-)

.. and before anyone asserts, I am a man who can find his lady's 'reset
button'. ;-)
