I'm trying to run Flashback on my StrongArm RiscPC, as per the
instructions here - http://www.acorn-gaming.org.uk/index.php3?p=Database/DB12#Flashback
I need the Crunchfix module and the QTM sound system.
Can anyone tell me where to ge these, I've been searching with Google
for an hour now, but no luck.
Can anyone help??
Thanks,
Rob.

Thanks for the link Andrew, I have the QTM module, does anyone know
where I can get the crunchfix module from?
I found the authors e-mail address on this page -
http://www.armclub.org.uk/products/pdcd3/catalogue/patches.html
(Sadly his e-mail address is no longer valid)
Thanks,
Rob.
Try http://www.archifishal.co.uk/~aardvark/fb.zip - it's a replacement
FlashBack executable which doesn't require CrunchFix.
(it might be called Flashback,ff8, so Shift+doubleclick !FlashBack,
rename Flashback to FlashbackO or something and copy that one in there
as Flashback, and make sure its filetype is Absolute)
Alex.
Thank you Alex!
Just what I needed!!

Rob

Hi,
This works fine on RISC OS 4.39, however on RISC OS 6.10 I get the
error "Internal Error: Abort on data transfer" when the game starts.
Anyone know of a way to fix this?
Cheers,
Rob.
It might be the QTMmodule - something subtle seems to have changed
with the sound in RISC OS 6.10 - I'd try testing that separately
first, to try and isolate the problem.
I'd be interested to know if it is the QTMmodule....
Regards,
Martin Hansen.
Thanks Martin,
I'll have a play and see what I can find out.
Rob.
You could perhaps try without the QTMModule patch. I don't believe that
it's a requirement to work on StrongARM machines, it just gives you
better sound quality, but you could give it a go without.

I've had a play, and I can't get it to load under RISC OS 6.10 at all.
I've tried it with and without the QTMmodule.
I'm debating going back to RISC OS 4.39 anyway, perhaps this may just
persuade me!!
Rob.
I might give it a go myself if I'm feeling sufficiently unlazy one of
these days :)
