Hi,
Can anyone recommend a MineSweeper game for RISC OS that has sound?

I've tried these;
Automine (By Musus Umbra)
Minesweep (By Michael Borcherds)
Minen (By Weiss Nuklaus)

None of these have sound, it's just my 3 year old son loves playing
MineSweep on Windows, and complains that the versions on my RPC don't
make noise!!

Thanks,
Rob.

I can heavily recommend !FlagDay.
It's comprehensive and completely configurable and it makes as much noise
as you may possibly want.

The freeware program is written by Richard Hallas. I've got version 5.05.
Google will help you further.

The following bytes were arranged on 6 Sep 2009 by robheaton :

How about Mine Hunt, which comes in the Diversions directory of every
RiscPC? That makes noise!

Anyone know where version 5 can be downloaded? 4.02 is on Richard's website
(http://www.hallas.demon.co.uk/), but the text says that it isn't Iyonix
compatible and that version 5 is supplied "with the latest versions of RISC
OS".

I've got 5.04 here, so I'm not that bothered -- but can 5.05 be obtained from
anywhere?

I don't have that in my Diversions directory! (I bought the machine
second hand)
Is it obtainable from anywhere else??

I'm not sure which version it is, but you could try the one at

It was supplied with 3.5, 3.6, 3.7 & 3.71 but not with 4.02 or later I know
not why!

It is FreeWare and is compatible with 4.02 - 6.16!

Have you tried Flag Day? It's Freeware at :

http://www.hallas.demon.co.uk/TopMenu/software.htm

This version is NOT Iyonix compatible - if you've got an Iyonix, it
came supplied in the Diversions directory.

I haven't played this version but the Iyo version certainly has sound!
The 'explosion' when you trip a mine still sends my pulse rate up!

Hope this helps.

Jonathan.
