Hi all

I've just found a zip file which purports to be Castle of Riddles for the
Electron. Unzipping the file gives me two files
Castle
Castle.inf

Can someone please remind me how I get this into BeebEm or ElectrEm? I
know the solution's out there somewhere but I can't find it.

Cheers

I use Strawberry Software's BBC Explorer 2.01 to create an SSD or DSD file.
I think that the latest version of BeebEm might be able to do it - I haven't
tried yet!

Cheers,

Gerald.

The .INF file contains the Load and Execute Addresses for the game code.
these have to be added to the main game file, replacing the RISC OS date
stamp.
To do this you neeed Michael Foot's !AltrFile, obtainable from his Web
site ( http://www.voyager.co.nz/~mikef )

The process is very simple.

Connect the 8 bit i/o port to a standard printer port and write
some software.
Thats the way I made a connection between mine.
You get 8 bits in one direction, 5bits the other way, so you
read/write 4 bit nibbles with 1 bit handshake in both directions.
