Good morning.

As the title suggests, I'm looking for XFM Paint.
It's a graphics utility, running exclusively in mode 13, which I think is quite powerful to create images and sprites.
I only have a demo, and I'd like to get the full version.

Has anyone got it ?

I've uploaded a video of the demo version on Youtube, you can watch it here :

Thanks for your help.
Xavier.

Addendum : if you've got in mind another graphics package, be it commercial or PD, which is similar, please advise me.
I know there are many available for the Archies, but I'm specifically looking for the best one to design sprites / tiles / fonts, typically to ease designing graphics for a game or a demo on a RISC OS 3.1 machine.(in mode 13 : 320 x 256, 256 colours).

Although I had written 20 years ago a small app to 'cut' sprites from a screen (where all sprites to form an animated sprite are displayed), I'd like to know if there is one available, it would be certainly more user friendly than mine. ;-)

Thanks in advance for your help.

Snapper http://www.chrisjohnson.plus.com/software/snap.html can easily
cut sprites, of a specified size and position, from the screen.

Thanks Tony, I'm going to try that.
The ideal app I'm looking for is one that can, not only easily grab areas on screen, and then can display them one after the other, or following a sequence you set up : it's perfect to check that the different sprites you've drawn will form a nice animation in your game or demo.

I have a program called !Animator from Iota that used to take sprites and
Drawfiles and animate them quite nicely. Didn't do the grabbing but that's
not a problem with Snapper (oe even good old Paint).

From a long time ago, mine's dated 1997. Doesn't work at the moment as it
hasn't been happy with a move to a new harddisk some years ago, asks for
the original disk which I may have somewhere.

Seems it was taken over with other Iota software around 2008 but no sign of
it on the RComp site. You could ask them.

As you say, Animator is not listed on the R-Comp website, but since they
took over the Iota website, as well as the Iota software, Animator is
still described at http://www.iota.co.uk/tca/index.html . The free demo
is the Windows version, but I'm sure that R-Comp still has the RISC OS
version for sale (I recently bought the latest RISC OS version of Iota's
TouchType, without key-disc, from R-Comp).

Variations http://compo.iconbar.com/variation.htm , which is freeware,
has a slide-show facility. It will display a set of images in the order
of their filenames, and the speed of display can be configured.

Fade is a dedicated slide-show application which may offer more control
