Error from Newshound. "Cannot open Group file".
Knowing absolutely nothing about the mechanics, could some kind soul
advise, perhaps by email lest I cannot open this group. TIA.

Bad manners to reply to my own post, but to save anyone any trouble a
kind person has now fixed the problem. Many thanksto all.

It's only bad manners if you don't share the solution with the rest of us, in
case someone else has the same problem in the future!
(But of course, if the solution is too complicated to explain accurately,
or the kind person went too fast, fair enough...)

One solution....
I have a RISCube 4.39 Messenger Pro (3rd May 2008) Netfetch 3.56
29th Sept 2009. I too got this message - my solution was to uninstall
v3.56 of NetFetch revert to v3.20, the Error stopped and accept all
the news downloads. I then reverted to V3.56 of NetFetch and have had
no further problems. I could speculate it was a time and number of
news downloads issue and given two RISCubes that could be another
factor - will have to see if it comes back and report it to RComp.
