Mpro 5.13

Is it possible to set Mpro to identify specific incoming email
and then automatically resend it to a different email address?

If so, how?

No.

Such a feature would make sense though. It would fit in nicely as a
new filtering action.

Some ISPs have this facility!

Mutt and procmail run on RISC OS then?

Certainly usable from (I used to all the time), and I imagine ports
using Nettle as terminal would be pretty easy.

Yes! but only on a specific email address.

Its in "Edit User details", but I would not recommend it, you could
create a mail loop.

It depends on how you want to identify the email. If it is by sender,
then it is easy to do!

My son wants to receive emails from a few specific addresses on his
iPhone, without the endless spam! So I have a system set up where MPro
looks on the server at regular intervals for mail coming from specific
email addresses. It then downloads those emails and puts them in a
local mailbox on my RiscPC, where they are immediately bounced to a
different address that he picks up using his iPhone. It doesn't delete
them from the server, so when he's at home he can download the lot -
junk and all - on his main computer.

As long as MPro can 'sort' the required emails into a local mailbox,
you can simply set the 'forward all emails' option on that mailbox and
off they go to the new email address!

Is that the sort of thing you're looking to do?

Jeremy.

Indeed it is. Thanks, I'll investigate and try it.

It's all a matter of looking at the problem in a different way, isn't
it?
