Something changed. Mostly it all works!

However when a spam is detected an "unfetched" window appears.
Now "executing" deletes the alleged spam and it is lost. It used to
dump it in a folder called "spamcop" None of the options on the
"Unfetched" window seem to make any difference.. If you click on the
offending email you only get to see the headers of the email. I have
lost a few legitimate emails like this. has anyone noticed the same?
Perhaps Spams are stored some where else? The new Demon system is so
effective I don't get many spams to play with!

Your message is a little ambiguous. Do you mean that it used to dump it in
'spamcop' without the unfetched window appearing, or after marking the mail
for deletion and clicking Execute?

There should be away of saving spam if you think it is not spam

I don't quite understand this. If you think it's not spam, why are you
marking it for deletion? Why don't you mark it to be fetched?

I have just sent myself a message in capitals.
That has been detected and I now have a window Unfetched - Chris.
There seem to be 5 or more options available.

1) on the left tick or not tick - Delete from server after fetching
overrides accounts' default setting

2) Cancel the spam is caught again next time a fetch is done

3) Execute ?

4) Top right Fetch/Delete
Just discovered this can be a green tick, a red cross or nothing

5) Clicking menu over the "spam" offers
Fetch rest, delete rest, delete spam, Fetch all, Delete all, Defer
all,

Rather a lot of rather frightening options!

I would rather "execute" put the spam somewhere safe but not in my in
box.
Depends if Execute means DO or Kill.
Refresf list, Edit Spam rules

Make this a green tick, and then the message will be fetched when you
click on "Execute".

With best wishes,

Set the message to be fetched (green tick) and get your email client to
filter messages with an X-Hermes-Spam header into a separate mailbox.

> Depends if Execute means DO or Kill.

It means whatever you've asked it to do for each message. If you've said
fetch, it fetches. If you've said delete, it deletes. If you've said leave
it leaves.

Good. Now you've done that, I have a cheeky suggestion :-)

Why not go to MPro icon bar Choices, > Message Editing, and click on
the tick in the icon next to "Quote signatures", so that the tick
disappears, to make your quoting a bit neater? Sorry to be
pernickerty.

With best wishes,

Peter.
