Many thanks. Definitely a must-have app.

With best wishes,

A very useful application which I was not aware of.

Many thanks.

I'd like to second that. Comes in very handy for the likes of me who can't
now remember formulas once known so well. ;-)

Thankyou for the update, I like the new icon, Chris

However since when has 1 Br gallon been equal to 8.164 Br pints?

After much head scratching I have found the error-

1 litre = 1.7 5 9 753 986 pints

not 1.7 9 5 753 986 as supplied

Sorry about that chaps. I have changed the data file for the next
release, which may be sooner than I originally intended.

I was about to say mea culpa, but having just checked my original
source (an oldish issue of The Rubber Handbook Of Chemistry And
Physics), the error came from there, rather than being a simple typo
on my part.

I wonder how often that error has been translated into scientific
publications!

(As someone who used to make reference to "The Rubber Handbook")

We always referred to it as 'The Rubber Book' and it was the first
port of call for many, many things. We managed to persuade our uni
library to acquire each new version as it came out, and further
persuaded them to pass each old copy back to the (Chemistry)
department, so each physical research lab and teaching lab ended up
with a copy. There was a pecking order which determined how the
copies were cacaded through the various labs each year when the next
edition became available.

Sounds like chemical bondage :-)

Thanks for the new version Chris, I've used it for a while now, very
useful.

Also played a bit with your 3D surface apps, nice.

Apps in the plural? There is only one on my web site (!Surface) which
is a 'simpler' one. There was also !3DPlotter from years ago,
probably only distributed on floppy, which allowed viewing the
surface from any angle, and did e.g. contour plots as well. I did
intend bringing it up to date, but having had no feedback on my
graphing stuff for a long time, the update fell by the wayside and is
languishing partly rewritten on my hard drive 8o(

I meant 3DFNEdit as well as Surface.

Both seem to work okay on R6.16

I hope to use it at work, to demonstrate to my oppo's in Radiotherapy, how
X-Ray radiation intensity can vary over a rectangular treatment field.

Wouldn't mind a copy 3DPlotter if you ever release, it or even the old
version if it still works.

I assume your posting address is valid. If you are happy to get a zip
file, I will dig it out, fire up an old RiscPC to check it, and send
it if it works! (You can use 3DFNEdit to produce the data in the same
way as for Surface).
