Fastest plotting of Strange Attractors is via RISC OS.
The MathMagical Software Company is pleased to announce the
availability of Iconizer II at this weekend's Midlands RISC OS show.
Iconizer is software to plot the beautiful mathematical objects
known as 'strange attractors'.
For this latest version of the software the key plotting routines
have been mathematically manipulated to allow them to run in an
integer space, these routines then being coded in ARM assembly
language by Martin Hansen.
This coding was very intricate and took five weeks of full time
work to perfect. The result is believed to be, by far, the fastest
strange attractor plotting routine available on any PC. Images that
previously took around 24 minutes to render now do so in 25
seconds.
A collection of image manipulation tools, also written in assembler,
allow the strange attractors to be presented in interesting and
novel ways.
