WebChange, the website maintenance tool for RISC OS, continues to see slow
but steady development. Most updates are bug fixes and similar, but today a
new version has been made available - version 2.95.26 - which adds a very
useful new feature: The ability to change the case of matched wildcards when
including them in the replacement text.

This is achieved by using + (to indicate upper case) or - (to indicate lower
case), placing the character immediately after the wildcard character in the
replacement text, and immediately before the number that follows it (to
indicate the 'n'th matched wildcard).

In other words, *0; would normally insert the first multi-character
wildcard, so using *-0; instead would insert the first multi-character
wildcard, converted to lower case.

For example: To change the text between opening and closing h1 tags to upper
case, the following could be used:

Replace: |<h1>*|</h1>
With: <h1>*+0;</h1>

This facility is available both from the front end, and within scripts.

The free version is available from:

Registered users (who purchased the software when it was on sale) can obtain
their version (which doesn't describe itself as 'free') from:
