Subject: Updated JDServer available
A new version of JDServer, 0.05, is available on my website,
http://www.davehigton.me.uk  This version corrects an error where some
print operations would cause JDServer to crash.  I recommend all users
to upgrade to today's version.  It is in all respects compatible with
the previous version, 0.02, so upgrade should be completely painless
by simply copying the new version over the old.

JDServer is a Jet Direct server.  It allows a printer connected to a
RISC OS computer to be shared between other computers on a network.
It works from RISC OS, Linux and Windows (new instructions added for
setting up Windows computers included with today's version).  It
should work with MacOS too, although I am unable to provide any
specific setup instructions.  Printing is always to the currently
selected printer.  JDServer implements a 10-deep queue, and accepts
multiple simultaneous connections.

JDServer is believed to run on all RISC OS machines that can have a
printer attached.  Im my house it normally runs on a BeagleBoard xM,
for example.

JDServer is free and is released under the Gnu GPL version 2.

The current version has come about as a result of a bug report from
a user.  If you experience a problem, please contact me, either via
the comp.sys.acorn.apps newsgroup or directly via email.  As I hope
you can see, I do support it!

Enjoy!
