RONWUG - RISC OS North West User Group - 19th Spetember 2012
At September's RONWUG meeting this Wednesday, we're going to be looking at a
brief history of Acorn Computer models with Stephen Barriball and he's
hoping to bring with him some examples of the rarer items that he's
collected over the years.
As usual there will be time for discussion at the beginning and end of the
meeting about all things RISC OS related. See you there!
RONWUG Meetings - members, location & times
Meetings are open to all interested in RISC OS computers and there are no
membership or entrance fees. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of
7:15pm for 7:30pm, normally 3rd Wednesday of each month
Trafford Metrovick Rugby & Cricket Club
There will be RONWUG members at the venue from around 7:15pm, and probably
until around 10pm (but you can arrive and leave whenever you like). There
is no certainty that the bar in the club will be open, but there is an off
license and a Chinese takeaway a few minutes walk away (and a pizza
parlour slightly further - do ask if you would like directions to any of
these). There should also be tea and coffee available at the venue
itself. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.
Members frequently bring their hardware & software problems to the meetings
and there is usually time for such even when we have a formal speaker. Ring
Steve on 0845 4 7472 69 to check we have access to any equipment you may
The venue is just a few hundred yards from M60 J7, with plentiful free
parking right outside, and easy ground floor access. It is on the bus
route from Manchester city centre, and is also about fifteen to twenty
minutes walk from Dane Road Metro station. Contact us as below if you
need more details.
