Hi,

StrongED 4.67 is now available from:

There have been many of changes (some of them are listed below) as
well as numerous bug fixes.

About StrongED
--------------

StrongED is a programmer's text editor. Although StrongED is a very
fully-featured and powerful editor, it is also surprisingly easy to use.
StrongED can be used to edit anything from program sources to shopping
lists, emails and web pages.

List of changes
---------------

OS related changes

- Fixed Toolbar icons to work correctly with Select's custom borders
- Minor changes relating to RISC OS 5 APIs being tydied up
- Added AIF and Utility headers as required by A9home

Text display changes

- Colours for LoF, LoW and Throwback windows made configurable
- Custom bitmaps (Fastchars) can now be used in all colour depths
- Syntax highlighting can use different font styles as well as colours
- Assembler colouring supports ARMv5 and FPE instructions
- Support for two colour schemes

List-of-Found (search result window) changes

- Can display all changes on a line rather than just the first
- Line number of matched lines can be displayed
- Number of matches per text is shown
- Ctrl-click opens new view and moves to selected line

New functions

- ExportText(): Export text ready for ExportSED, see External Utils.

- CharsToBuffer(): Passes a string through GSTrans and sends the result
to the keyboard buffer.

- FocusToMRU(): Gives input focus to most recently used LoF or
Throwback window. Makes it easier to move around
using just the keyboard.

- FindPrev(): Finds previous occurance of searcg string.
Complements FindNext()

New ModeFile options

- SmartIndent: Increases/decreases the indent level depending on
certain characters being entered. At present geared
towards braces in C-style languages.

- OnLoad: Executes a list of StrongED functions immediately after
a file has been loaded.

New dialogue boxes

- Commands: Allows StrongED functions to be executed without having to
bind them to a key/menu/item first.

- Snippets: Provides storage for often used snippets of text.

- Bookmarks: Shows where bookmarks point to, also allows setting,
clearing of bookmarks.

- Load dir: Pops up when a directory is Ctrl-dragged to the iconbar
icon. Can be used to only load files of a certain type.

External Utils

- SpeakSED: Provides support for Jonathan Duddington's (e)Speak.
Voice, volume and speed can be set.

- ExportSED: Converts files produced by ExportText() to other formats.
All syntax colouring and some syntax bitmapping (italic,
bold) are taken into account
Formats supported are: DDF, DDL, HTML and XHTML.

- FTPupload: Allows local copy of website to be altered and to upload
changed files when they are saved.
