New features
* Redesigned user interface - All the icons and tools have been redesigned
to be clearer and easier to use
* Zooming - Permanently on-screen magnifier dialogue with useful pre-sets
* Brushes - New sets of paintbrushes and airbrushes
* Stamps - New stamps, including a series of regular polygons (in normal,
stellated and rounded forms)
* New palettes
* Extra image processing option: 'Enhance negative'
* Easy access to stamps directory
* Unit locking in resize dialogue
* Easy cropping and extending of images by constant amounts
* Internationalisation - Both the installer and the main application now
support the internationalisation features of RISC OS
Improvements
* Better support for long filenames
* Fit-to-window image scaling improved
* Redesigned scaling dialogue, with unit-locking
* Redesigned rotation dialogue and more consistent handling of negative
rotations in various places
* Background grids for Gamma correction and printer calibration dialogues
* Many small bug fixes and improvements (A fuller list is provided with the
software)
Changes have also been made so that future releases can be made
downloadable.
Plus
* A completely new manual is about 80% complete, it has many worked
examples. This will be provided free to owners of 3.09 when it is available.
We are also looking into documenting the Plug-In API to allow third parties
to design Plug-Ins. One of Photodesk's beta testers is keen to do a 'Stained
Glass' effect and the maintainer is interested in doing a 'Perspective'
Plug-In!

Features currently being considered for inclusion in 3.10 include:
* Retention and update of EXIF data
* New Plug-Ins for 'Stained glass effect' & 'Perspective'
* Improved save dialogues
* Check for existing files
* Add standard extensions
Users interested in making suggestions for features to be included in 3.10
are encouraged to post their suggestions to the photodesk mailing list. You

Suggestions that are easier to implement are more likely to make it in to
the final version. No warranty is given that any of the above features will
be included or that 3.10 will be released.
