OpenVector, OpenGridPro and DrawPlus version 3.39 are available for
download from <http://www.users.on.net/~belles/software/openvector/>.

These applications are all open-source enhancements to Draw. Vector
and GridPro were originally developed from DrawPlus as commercial
applications for 4Mation by Jonathan Marten. Vector included layering
and object library capabilities. GridPro was customised for drawing
grids and other regular object layouts.

This release features quick access to the Touch/Enclose/Centre
drag-select setting through the Select document submenu.

More importantly, resizing has changed subtly with this release. When
resizing an object by dragging a control point, the point will
initially jump towards the mouse's location taking grid and movement
constraints into account. While the mouse moves with grid locking
enabled, the object's control point will jump to the nearest grid
line. This makes it easier to resize objects to align points either
horizontally or vertically, especially in combination with the ability
to set the ruler origin to any point's location. For example, a
straight path can be lengthened or shortened to start or end on a grid
line whilst retaining its angle.

In case you missed it, recent releases also included the following
improvements:

* Compatibility with Cortex-A8 hardware: Compressed drawfiles and
libraries can now be loaded when alignment exceptions are enabled.

* Consistency of layered merging: Previously, it was possible for
library objects to be pasted onto undefined layers producing
troublesome side-effects. In this release, the fallback action when
pasting objects from a library is to place the objects on the current
layer rather than undefined layers, consistent with importing objects
from a file.

* OpenGridPro and OpenVector understand 'osunit' dimensions. This
eases the creation of drawings destined for display as fixed-size
bitmaps such as icons, foreign-format documents and presentations, and
web images.
