Dear NewsReader,
In order to better serve the Acorn User and enthusiast
market, I am pleased to Inform you that an additional help line number
has been installed on 01651 891069 and Acorn related help on hardware
and software is available Mon-Fri 0730-1800 Hrs and 0930-1230 Hrs on
the Weekends.
Tower Electronics Ltd moved into new retail premises at the following
address:

There we will be able in the small shop/showroom show off the latest
Acorn Hardware - including Acorn networking, Omni Client Software,
Ant and Termite Internet Software on a Mixed Acorn/PC network.
Tower is sharing this shop with a busy local printer "Blacklaws"
who use a top of the range Risc PC 700 and co processor for pre
press printing work and my Demo machine is networked to his and
also available for examination are PowerTech Scsi 2/3 cards and
large removable storage systems, scanner and colour printers.
Though Tower's floor area is very small - I have access to a very
large shop window right in the heart of the village near the
Village store, Bank, Post Office and Pub.
This attractive window site will be put to full advantage promoting
Acorn Hardware and Software - Demonstrations of the Computer
Concept range, Prophet Accounts, Sibelius 6/7 and many other Acorn
software titles are available by prior arrangement as of course is
full demonstration of the Acorn Risc PC range.
The new building was built in 1895 and the site of the former "Ythan Bar"
before that a former Coaching Inn and "Back Shop" back in the days
of the 1st World War when drinking was crack down on - villagers
all canny hard working North East farming folk - used to pop into
the front shop (a general store) and then through to the "Back shop"
where illeagle alcoholic beverages - all home brewed were on sale.
Mention of the site goes back hundreds of years in the well known
local publication "Diary of a Canny Man" written in the "Doric" or
North East Scotland dialect - it makes very humorous reading once
you get the hang of the language.
My Showroom/come shop is right on that site - to the side and rear
of the shop front. Sorry no Beer or Larger on tap though...
