Sine Nomine Software are pleased to announce Wrangler 1.03, which adds
a fourth puzzle type to its range of mathematical puzzles.
The new puzzle is "Binary", where you complete a grid with the numbers
0 and 1 to satisfy simple rules:
(a) each row or column must contain equal numbers of 0 & 1 (or one
more 1 when there are an odd number of cells)
(b) no more than two consecutive cells in a row or column may contain
the same value.
Download it from
http://sinenomine.co.uk/software/ - the new version
is free for registered users, or you can register for just five
pounds.
In addition to Binary puzzles, Wrangler offers:
Kakuro
Arithmetical crosswords
Shikaku
Fill a grid with rectangles so that each contains one numbered cell
and exactly that number of cells.
Cross sums
Three horizontal and three vertical sums crossing over each other,
where your task is to place the numbers 1-9 to fill in the gaps to
make the answers come out.
Thanks go to Machiel Jansen who suggested the new puzzle type, which
has proved popular with all ages from six upwards!
