A further upgrade to GedText is now available (or will be very soon!)
from:

www.rural-life.org.uk/gedtext
http://www.nostalgia8.nl/genea/
www.qercus.com

GedText is an application for creating a human readable textfile from a
Gedcom (family history) file, optionally with formatting information
included.

The new version is 1.11 and the full set of changes is documented in the
Changes file inside the application.

Since the default processing choices may be different in this release I
strongly recommend that you check the Choices window the first time you
use the application. The Choices window can be reached from the iconbar
menu and the ones you are probably most likely to want to alter are:

1. Decide whether to leave the output in the same order as in the Gedcom
file or whether to sort into date of birth order.

2. Decide whether to output as a plain text file or whether to include
DDF formatting codes for use with OvationPro, Impression or
Easiwriter/Techwriter.

3. Decide whether to suppress unrecognised Gedcom tags.

The main changes in this release, apart from a number of bug fixes, are:

1. Lines containing unrecognised tags are now indented according to their
level number (this makes it easier to understand their structure).

2. NATU (naturalisation), CENS (census) and WILL tags are now understood
although some of their sub-tags may be left in their "raw" form.

As always, if you find any bugs and/or would like me to consider adding
further enhancements please also let me know.
