Update RISC OS eXperience 2008

In organising the RISC OS eXperience 2008 we set ourselves high standards.
Our targets:
- an event where RISC OS enthusiasts could meet: business partners,
club members, visitors, sharing the fascination for RISC OS and
Acorn computer family

- in its international focus a true successor to our former RISC OS
EXPO: a European event for Dutch, Belgian, British, French folk,
customer, club member, business representatives all alike

- given the Dutch Big Ben Club's 25th anniversary, a cosy and festive
occasion to meet one another

Indeed we managed to offer a modern, well equipped venue, free
admittance, no stand fees, good and well-priced food&drink, central
location, easily found (by car and train), affordable lodging
possibilities, not far (some 20 km) from Amsterdam.

Yet we now have to respond adequately to the all but encouraging
response to our mailing. Overall response (Dutch and from abroad) was
quite disappointing. Given its British origin, it was tough to learn
that hardly any British (business of club) RISC OS partner [in fact:
just you] is willing or prepared to attend to our meeting; some had
appointments made, most wouldn't or couldn't invest in time and cost
of travel. We feel that lacking interest in RISC OS hard- and
software is a hard fact that can't be denied.

So if your sole aim is a particular purchase, upgrading a license or
a good talk with a business representative then don't come!: you will
be disappointed!

But if you like to share enthusiasm of this marvellous operating
system and the hardware designed for it, you're most welcome. If you
are in need of nice advice, if you seek - or could offer - exchange
of RISC OS specific knowledge or experience or 2nd hand stuff or
spare parts, if you like a good cup of coffee or just a solid chat,
you should come! We will take good care of you: bring in your RISC OS
computer and share the use and possibilities with other guests and
we'll provide you with a tasteful sandwich and coffee.

Share the experience - visit the RISC OS eXperience 2008! May 17, 10
am - 4 pm. Centre "De Vuister" in Koog aan de Zaan.
