I, and I alone, am pleased to announce the immediate availability of a
neat little package I like to call the Music Ripper's Toolkit, which can
be snagged from:

http://www.starfighter.acornarcade.com/mysite/download/mrtools.zip

What is it? Well, I'm sorry, it's not a free application to pirate CDs
(go and buy CDBurn, why don't you). The raison d'etre of this
collection is to extract, with varying degrees of forcefulness, music
hardcoded or obfuscated in games or demos for the RISC OS platform. A
variety of BASIC (and not) programs facilitate this task, variously
decompressing executables, converting esoteric formats, and generally
poking their bytes where they're not wanted.

Full documentation is provided for ripping all the games and demos I've
successfully used these (and other) tools on. They probably work on
other programs I don't own, too, once you get used to them.
Contributions welcome!

Chris Bazley's Star Fighter 3000 convertor (announced separately) is
also included in this archive.

Games and demos that can be ripped by this series include but are no
means limited to:

Asylum
Emotions
Flashback
Oddball
Inferno
Phonology
Xtreme
Era
Super Methane Brothers

Please let me know how you get on.

Happy ripping!
