R-Comp Interactive are pleased to announce that we'll have our full
range of RISC OS computers on display this weekend at the MUG show, so
you'll be able to see all the latest developments. Each machine range
should have some exciting developments, so make sure to check things
out!
ARMini
The ARMini represents the most complete ARM-powered RISC OS solution
available, powered by a super speedy Cortex-A8 processor for almost
twice the performance of other solutions. The ARMini is supported by
a vast array of custom software and applications, includes CD/DVD
capabilities and much more, and users are part of the ARMini community
which has its own mailing list and web/download site. We should have
one (if not two) extremely exciting announcements for ARMini users
(and potential users)!
PandaLand
PandaLand is our support and software service for PandaBoard users,
and also the name given to our PandaBoard-in-a-case service which
gives Panda users a full system, akin to an ARMini, complete with CD
options and harddrive/SSD etc. Whilst we don't feel that Panda is as
robust a solution as ARMini (key applications eg. Photodesk aren't yet
up and running reliably), clock speeds of up to 1.5Ghz make Panda an
intriguing prospect for those on the bleeding edge.
RISCubes
Our RISCube range provide both RISC OS and Windows on the same
computer, and are built to our exacting standards for both performance
and reliability. The operating systems are engineered to work
together providing a "best of both worlds" - you can have the security
and familiarity of RISC OS (at superb performance), whilst enjoying
hardware compatibility (printers, scanners, peripherals, monitors,
network connectivity etc) offered by Windows. The integration is
smooth and effective, giving RISCube owners a vast array of software
and hardware at their fingertips, all super-fast speeds, whilst still
being cool and quiet. Latest possibilities include completely silent
fanless systems, whilst still delivering full performance!
