**Add pictures to your contact address book in Version 2.10**
**Reduced show and launch prices**
A new version of Organizer 2, the personal information manager for
RISC OS systems, is released at the 2011 Wakefield Show.
The most significant new feature in Version 2.10 allows you bring your
personal information database alive by adding thumbnail pictures to
your contacts in the Address Book section. You can transfer thumbnails
from your phone, or prepare your own, using later versions of Paint,
or another graphics package.
This is part of a package of improvements to the Address Book section.
Inputting contact details is made easier, with a free-standing
data-entry window that offers much improved ability to add extra data
fields, such as organisation or company names, and job titles. It is
also easier to toggle between Home and Work contact information.
This follows the major upgrade in Version 2.00 (and subsequent
versions to 2.06) to the Diary section, in particular, using iCal to
allow the exchange of data with programmes such as Google Calendar for
the first time on Risc Os systems.
Improvements have also been to the Diary section in Version 2.10.
Alarms now can now be added on the last day of a month; multiple-line
alarms are displayed in the correct order, with better time display;
and the holidays have been improved, with Bank Holiday weekend days
catered for.
In total there are over 100 changes from v2.06, including many extra
facilities, performance improvements and bug fixes - for example there
is a greater choice of fonts, sizes, colours and borders for the
iconbar icon.
Regrettably, in order to fund continuing development of this key RISC
OS programme, prices have had to rise. The full version of Organizer 2
will now be a more realistic £30 to new users, including users of
Version 1. The upgrade price will £20 for existing users of Version 2.
**However, for the Wakefield Show and a limited period afterwards, we
will be offering discount prices,with upgrades available for £15 and
the full version at £25.**
This price will include continuing bug fixes and enhancements to
Version 2.10. Features added to Version 2.00 in subsequent free
upgrades up to v2.06, include extra Diary displays (four, six and
eight-week displays) and improved iCal data exchange with more
programmes
