Has been updated today with the entries recommended by Murnong.
This file is a copy of my Iyonix' inherited and hand-crafted "mimemap"
textual file which I try to keep as up-to-date as possible. If you have
not come across it before, it is the file which is used by many
applications, including email clients and networking software, which
enables (or attempts to enable) mapping of foreign file types to a
filetype suitable for RISC OS and vice-versa. Whether you can then render
such files will depend on the software you have installed, in whichever
camp of the OS divide you happen to be.
Your RISC OS system will most likely already have a (textual) 'mimemap'
file. Never install a file from somewhere else unless you make a backup
of the file you are replacing! It is possible that replacing any existing
file with another may stop some feature of your system working for which
I take no responsibility! However I will try to help you resolve issues
IF you take a backup copy of your pre-existing file first and can provide
a copy when asked. All you have to do is rename the old before installing
the new.
Full details are contained in the file.
