I am pleased to announce !ConvImgs, a new WIMP application to allow
the batch interconversion of a range of image types.
!ConvImgs has been tested successfully on the Iyonix, the BeagleBoard
and the RaspberryPi, and has been reported as running on a PandaBoard
ES.
!ConvImgs is now available for testing and the current version will:
* load one or more of the following image types - sprite, JPEG, PNG,
TIFF, BMP, GIF - in any mix of types. The selection of files can be
added to by drag and drop of a selection of image files, or a
directory containing image files.
* save the files in one of the following image types - sprite, JPEG,
PNG, TIFF.
As a bonus, ConvImgs has the option to carry out some standard
transformations during the conversion. The current test version
allows:
* rotate +90deg, rotate -90deg, rotate 180deg, flip horizontal, flip
vertical
* resize by xx%, resize X to n pixel, resize Y to n pixel, resize to
fit within X pixel and Y pixel - the aspect ratio is preserved in
all cases.
If anyone would like to trial the application in its current state
please e-mail me (my posting address here is valid).
Once the features of ConvImgs have stabilised (hopefully not too
long), then I will make it available from my web site
(
