Dear All,
It is now an amazing 11 years since Acorn announced their closure of the
workstations division and we all had to start rethinking our plans for the
future in the Acorn World back in 1998.
I am delighted therefore to announce two RISC OS Shows to be held over the
next few months.
The Midland User Group Christmas show

This show is being held on

RISC OS South West Show 2010

The second is the RISC OS South West Show 2010 which is being organised
by RISCOS Ltd.
The venue as usual is the Webbington Hotel on Saturday 20th February 2010.
The event will be open from 10 - 3.30 and will feature the usual
exhibitors and a few new ones. This year there will be a small charge
of �3 for Adults for entrance to the show. Children under 18 will be free.

New pricing structure for RISC OS Select membership

As was annouced at the London RISC OS Show at the start of October
we have made a couple of changes to the options available to the
versions of RISC OS that you can obtain via the Select Scheme.
If you want to try out RISC OS Six we have a Single User version of
RISC OS 6.10 now for just �39. This option allows you to upgrade to a full
Select subscription within 30 days and you just pay the difference to get
a full 6 or 12 month subscription.
The Single User subscription allows you to join the Select discussion
group, but does NOT include access to the Select website private areas.
If you want to use the full latest version of RISC OS Six you can now pay
either 6 monthly or 12 monthly.
The 12 month subscription version remains at �99.
To help is these credit crunch times we are now offering as 6 month
subscription option which costs just �55. You can update to a full 12 month
subscription at any time before the expiry of the 6 month subscription. The
new subscription will however expire on the 12 month anniversary of the
original date of joining.
Renewals must be made within 30 days of the previous subscription expiry
date otherwise you will be charged the new renewal price of �65 for a 6
month subscription. If you choose the 12 month renewal price, then late
renewals will be dated from the expiry of the previous subscription, NOT
from the date of renewal.
The option to join the Select Scheme at �55 only runs until 1st Jan 2010.
Thereafter all new memberships will cost �65 for 6 months.
Free CDs will in future only be sent to members who have at least 12 months
previous continuous membership. New members, and those whose subsciption
lapsed more than 12 months ago, will only be able to obtain CDs of each new
release at a price of �12 per CD (including postage in the UK, or �14
overseas)
