my floppy drive just died, anyone have a spare?
|
| |
Hi folks, Long time, no post! (For me, anyway.) I recently decided to resurrect my 3B1, the original Miniscribe drive of which had gotten jostled while powered off, but with heads un-parked - crash! So I bought an ST-4096 off eBay and eventually figured out the jumper settings, formatted it and then installed the Foundation Set. Hurray for 25... more »

Q.: SCSI for Unix-PC?
|
| |
This may have been talked to death years ago, but: Has there been any successful attempt to get an older parallel-port_to_SCSI host adapter to function as a SCSI HA on the Unix-PC? (I have two such, a Linksys and an IOmega, with drivers for DOS, Win31, and Win95, of course, but not for Unix 3.51.) Any hope the DOS drivers will work in conjunction with... more »

Discovered brand new 3B1 (AT&T 7300 Unix PC, 20 meg drive)
|
| |
I found a 3B1 I didn't know I had in the attic last week. It was brand new in the box, never opened till last week. I thought I'd gotten rid of all my old computer stuff in 2005. This one slipped by. I opened it up and installed the foundation system. It works like a charm. A little history is in order. Back around 1996 I... more »

ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO BUY A WORKING 3B1?
|
| |
i owned a computer store, and I have had an AT&T 3B1 Unix PC for more than 15 years stored in its original box. It was almost new and working when I put it in its box. It has its original manuals. Now I need some money, so I am offering it to the best offer. Thanks in advance.

3b1.org - a UUCP hub?
|
| |
I've not seen this USENET group this alive in a very long time. Even when the 3b1/7300 was new it was considered a dog, though there were many clever people that got their moneys worth out of them. I registered 3b1.org quite recently merely as a 'vanity' domain for the sdf.lonestar.org folks, but after seeing the activity here I thought... more »
