i owned a computer store, and I have had an AT&T 3B1 Unix PC for
more than 15 years
stored in its original box. It was almost new and working when I put
it in its box. It has its original manuals.
Now I need some money, so I am offering it to the best offer.
Thanks in advance.

Hmm ... it almost certainly will need to be opened up and the
coin cell which maintains the clock replaced. The original was soldered
in, and had ribbon leads on both sides. However, the layout on the PC
board is right to accept a coin cell holder, which is what I would
suggest (to whoever gets it) when replacing it.

Another thing which you need to mention. Does it have the
foundation set floppies so someone can rebuild on a new disk drive at
need?

Also -- are the development set floppies present too? (The
development set manuals include the man pages, which unlike other unix
systems are not online -- or even available in online format.)

Any other software, or any other cards in the computer? The
ones of particular interest would be the Combo card (memory plus serial
ports), and the Ethernet card and its companion software. The voice
power card, or the floppy tape controller card might also increase the
price which someone might be willing to pay. (Not I, however -- I have
enough of all of it so I don't need more.)

Good Luck,
DoN.
