This white paper gives a commentary on key API standards and specifications
relating to the Linux and UNIX systems. This includes a look at the
formal IEEE POSIX standards, and industry led efforts such as The
Open Group's Single UNIX Specification, the Free Standards Group Linux
Standard Base Specification and the Embedded Linux Consortium Platform
Specification.
