Network access issues

Subject: Internet access issues

Not sure if this group is the right one for answering this
question....

I have been having problems accessing the Internet from my PC. Last
time someone told me to do the following:

1) Start -> Control Panel -> Network Connections -> Local Area
Connection
[Right Click and select properties]
2) Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) -> Properties
3) Obtain an IP address automatically & Obtain DNS Server address
automatically

I am trying the same but to no avail.
