So, Mr. Milne stop this "hope for the best, prepare for the worst" nonsense. Nobody needs to get prepared for nothing. Things will ALWAYS be good in this country. Even if they get bad, our government will rescue us. Folks dont need to get ready for nothing, There will always be food in stores and plenty of money. We all should trust our leaders and our stock market will go up forever, maybe even longer.
I for one will borrow as much as I can and put it all in stocks! There is PLENTY of money available and we can always print more. And even if folks cant pay back, there is always banktrupcy available.
And this Asian Crisis thing is nothing to worry about, we can print money for them too. Hell, we can always photocopy money if need be.

Who knows? It has been said (Thoreau) that a foolish consistency is the
petty hobgoblin of small minds, that (Nietzsche) 'Whoever said 'Alas!
Two souls dwell within my breast!' fell short... by a goodly number of
souls' and that (Whitman) 'Do I contradict myself? Very well, I
contradict myself; I am large, I contain multitudes.'
... but what can anyone learn from a back-to-nature nut, a syphillitic
misanthrope or an acknowledged and notorious homosexual, anyhow?

Well I can't say for sure as I never was propositioned by the man,
personally... but that's the consensus amongst Them What Claims To
Know. Back in Those Days folks were a bit more... circumspect about
Materia Intimata (I don't believe that the word 'homosexual' was used in
those times) but even Whitman's friends were a bit... scandalised by
some of his more 'graphic' imagery.
DD
What? Where? When? I be confustigated... might you be a bit more
explicit (so I won't have to be, maybe?)

Which belief... the one which, it can be said. *you* projected onto *me*
in a classically Freudian manner?
(in case, of course, you missed the subtlety... that bit of dimestore
psychobabble was prefaced with 'it can be said'... no mention was made
about the possibility of truth or accuracy resultant from saying things
thusly.)

Ah, but has not the inimitable Mr. Milne been OUT building a water tower for
the past few days? Watch out when he comes back with both barrels blazing
(Aesop reference notwithstanding).

Moi? Do I have a "problem"? Perhaps I do. I have a REAL problem with
people who come tromping around these parts spewing their own brand of
venom, devoid of all logic, then triple post their idiocy only to ask _ME_
if I have a problem! Surely you jest!

Actually, Ralph Waldo Emerson said , "Consistency is the hobgoblin of small
minds." But I'm sure Thoreau would have agreed. And, now, back to your regularly

But by now the satire is evident.
Leszek Borkowski can't possibly be *that* pollyanna.
Nobody can.
(at least I don't think anybody can)

Greatly appreciated... I tend to get those 19th-century
back-to-nature-nutty-poetical-types confused; I sit corrected.
DD
That just might be the point... if Mr Milne gets out *more* such a thing
might not happen.
