Saving variable view contents
Hi! I have a simple question: how do I export the whole content of variable view to a tab delimited file? I can export all my data, but what about variable view? I'd like to save all the contents, value labels included... saving to a file from the view doesn't do the job... Thanks!

coding variables by dates?
hi folks, I have a dataset with about 3000 observations on 30 participants (they responded to short questionnaires about 3-6x/day for 2 weeks). I'm trying to classify the days as "binge-eating" or "non-binge-eating" days but I can't figure out if there is a way to do this with syntax, or if I will manually have to enter this info.... more »

Incremental Contribution to Regression of Correlated Dichotomous Variables
I have a dataset where Gold Standard Diagnosis (Y/N) is known for each patient in the set. Then there also are three tests (T1-T3, also Y/N) that are trying to match the Gold Standard. This is a a case of four correlated non-independent dichotomous variables. When taken two at a time, I can use McNewmar test to assess the relationship and compute... more »

Stepwise Regression
If an independent is not univariately significant at 0.20 level, but significant at 0.05 level in the final model. Should we include it in the final model? Suppose we don't have collinearitty and all other things are fine, without any other problem.

Hi all, I have an SPSS datafile. I want to get the number of cases that take the value 1 for one variable and the value 2 for the other variable . Afterwards i need to divide the result "the number of cases satisfying both conditions" by the total number of cases taking the value 1 in variable 1.
