Investigation of word length effects

Hi everybody,

we are working on algorithms for digital signal processing and their VLSI implementation. Therefore we have need for investigations of word-length effects.
Does anybody know libraries of word-length dependent modules for
numerical operations in context of digital signal processing or
at least modules for basic numerical operations.
