Function similar to ISOSURFACE

Hi all,
I need to find a function similar to isosurface, because it give me a lot of problem in an approximation of point cloud 3D, it creates some artifacts on the edge of the figure without a reason. So I need something similar that compute and find the points on the surface but doesnt render it (useless).

In practice I must reconstruct a surface from a point cloud data, in my case I reconstruct a Sphere, the final step is the isosurface function, it give some artifact outside the surface, so I think it is a problem from the "isosurface" function. Nobody can help me? Thank you in advance
